I would want to ask if it’s possible (for me, though) to imitate Irrational Games Website.

My main focus now it’s to create a wordpress-powered Magazine Site (or News Site however you want to call it) with forums, achievements and social profiles.

So I’d need to have buddypress activity compatible with the forums and achievements. Comments in main news site also appearing in activity would be helpful.

Yep, Achievements it’s one of the most important things to me for using buddypress (I’m Hachi, the fella of the spanish trans.)

It’ll be shiny to have sitwide forums out-of-the-box

Yeah, it’s a bit tricky at the moment. Possible, but tricky. On the plus side, the bbPress plugin appears to be coming along nicely which should make this easily possible in future.
