<p>It looks like it provides the ability to add BP shortcodes elsewhere, but not in the extended fields themselves.</p>
<p>I&#8217;d actually be fine with being able to add some additional formatting to the description rather than having it stripped away.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I would like to add additional formatting to the extended profile field descriptions. At the very list, be able to add some div, span and other tags without having their class or ID stripped out.</p>
<p>Bonus points would be to have functional shortcodes.  I&#8217;ve already tried <code>do_shortcode(bp_the_profile_field_description());</code> without success.</p>
