Are you the super admin of that multisite installation or just the site admin of a subsite? Do you have any membership plugin which could have caused conflict? Did you create/delete another site/super admin account?</p>

The buttons do not show up if t<strong>he_title();</strong> tag in your theme&#8217;s page.php was placed outside of the WordPress loop. </p>

Deactivate all plugins other than BuddyPress and revert to either bp-default theme or Twenty Twelve and see if the problem persists then report back here. I suspect it is either a plugin, or theme but I won&#8217;t speculate.
