Go to “Settings” >> “Miscellaneous”
Clear “Store uploads in this folder”-path
Set “Full URL path to files” to absolute server path , e.g. “http://mysite.com/public_html/wp-content/uploads”

HOWEVER…
I still can’t upload my own avatar to buddypress.org !!
I just get the blank screen
