									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thanks &#8211; that helps a bit I guess. I now understand why it&#8217;s there, but I&#8217;m not convinced it should be added to all fields by default. Perhaps there should be an option in the field setup screen.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So I&#8217;ve been trying to add my own custom field types to buddypress &#8211; and so have downloaded and modified the <strong>Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields Type</strong> plugin. I simplified the plugin a lot &#8211; removed loads of code and got it down to the bare minimum &#8211; then I started adding the new fields I wanted.</p>
