@bobs12 Dear bobs12,

I’m a buddypress newbie so please excuse me if this question is inappropriate. I read about your ‘spambusher’ script with interest and wondered if you would care to share the code?

Best

@bobs12 – The BuddyPress Backward Compatibility plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-backwards-compatibility/ contains the old theme as well as the old wire code. You could install that plugin and have pretty much everything back the way it was.

@bobs12 It was indeed regrettable that the wire was taken out, but using the @mention system basically works the same.
This works by using “@name” in a activity update, this way the user that is mentioned gets notified and can react to it.
