<p>define( &#8216;BP_ENABLE_USERNAME_COMPATIBILITY_MODE&#8217;, true );</p>
<p>It will change the behaviour of BP such that is does use the auto-generated username rather than the full name received from Facebook.  Once done, the plugin works well with BuddyPress.</p>

<p>Please understand that I was not incorrect in my statement, as a new install of BP with this plugin would not work without adding that DEFINE statement, something not mentioned in the FAQ nor by Justin.</p>

Trying to work through the reason for this, after which I would definitely rate it higher as it does create a user account based on their FB authentication.</p>
