The main problem I’m having right now, though, is that because my server runs on IIS, there is no cron service available and the ‘background import’ function doesn’t seem to be available. Is there any workaround for this?

I suppose I’ll have to go configure my server to allow pretty permalinks

As far as I know, my server is running IIS and the wordpress and buddypress versions are 3.0.1 and 1.2.6 respectively
