<p>For those having the same issue to get the Load More button working make sure you wrap your activity loop in the &lt;div id=&#8221;buddypress&#8221;&gt; container.</p>

<p>There&#8217;s nothing in mu-plugins that relates to BuddyPress and bp-custom.php is not present.</p>
<p>This is a new install on a live server with a standard version of WordPress (3.9.1), not WordPress multisite.</p>

<p>I have reinstalled BuddyPress but this made no difference. On closer inspection buddypress.js is only not loaded on the Activity page, it is loaded on all other pages (Groups, Members etc.). This issue occurs on any theme I use.</p>

I&#8217;m using a custom theme so naturally BuddyPress is using the theme&#8217;s own page.php template. The &#8220;Create A Group&#8221; button displays just fine on the &#8220;Groups&#8221; page, but when I actually go to the &#8220;Create A Group&#8221; page the button is switched.</p>

My left sidebar is loaded before the page content and if the sidebar contains BuddyPress widgets the buttons do not appear. If I remove the BuddyPress widgets or move them to the right sidebar which is loaded after the page content the buttons display.</p>
