Actually I’ve just created the child theme and obviously it doesn’t work as it’s not the active theme.

So in essence, I don’t want a buddypress theme to activate as I already have my own, I just want to use buddypress within my own theme, and customise it.

Any ideas,
Thanks

Hi Henry,

Just to confirm…

The site has a custom WP theme with BP integrated as standard. So it’s already inherited some of the styles and such. So if I make a child theme as above to the BP install, will it keep all the users and profiles intact?

Assuming it just calls the child theme because there is one.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I have unfortunately created a custom theme, started using buddypress with member profiles that have been populated, and now need to create a child theme to customise it. I realise I’ve done this the wrong way round but can’t seem to find a solution.

Can this be achieved after the fact? If so, can someone point me in the right…[Read more]
