Sometimes it only needs a line or just inserting it in one file, sometimes you need to add/delete code in many files. </p>

<p>JavaScript can go inside a PHP file (via use of the <code>&lt;script&gt;</code> tag) or it can go into a .js file. In the case of the latter, you don&#8217;t need to use the <code>&lt;script&gt;</code> tag.</p>
