As the title says, I’m trying to do that because I want to have two types of groups one for groups and other for workplaces. In workplaces I want to use BuddyPress Announce Group so I copied all the files off BuddyPress that contain the word groupsand replace with workplaces, and also changed all the files named with group. was when I used buddypress 1.7 and 1.8 but, with buddypress 1.9, there are many changes, also in bp-legacy too

my question is

How to change new files buddypress 1.9 bp-legacy, to use in my custom template without losing my changes?
