<p>1. The only plugin you&#8217;ve activated is BuddyPress and you are using the Twenty Fourteen theme, correct?<br />
2. Your WP version is 3.9.1 and BP version is 2.0.1 (not the 2.0 mentioned above)?<br />

I&#8217;ve only used XAMPP in windows machines and they&#8217;re working pretty well. Also, have you tried clearing browser caches?</p>
