If the user is already logged in it is default behavior for them to be redirected to the home page which makes sense, since someone who has the ability to login had already been through the registration and activation process. Hope this answers your question. 🙂</p>

I was actually using the original site I put up as a tempsite until I had the whole Buddy Press and bbpress thing figured out.  I am in the process now of building our new site which will up be and running shortly.</p>

You could have a different logged out menu in which you could include the register link. </p>
