@mistercyril, There is no such function by default, what you can do is hire a developer to create a plugin which does that for you.

@mistercyril am just discovering this myself, but it looks like it allows you to make different extended fields (or groups) available to different kinds of users. pretty cool! though not what i was looking for…

so that if, for example, you want to ask an admin what his favorite color is, but not a contributor, you can! 🙂

hope that helps.

@mistercyril Hi,

I can help you with this.
It would be better to use a separate table.
The table would hold the member id and the id(s) of who they assist.
I did something similar recently for a blocking member(s) option for a BP site with over 7000 members.

At the moment, there is no easy way to turn off Gravatar. I agree that there should be an easy way, as there can be performance concerns, as @mistercyril. (Though I find “I’m starting to think I’m the only one concerned with performance” unnecessarily confrontational.) I’ve had issues with it in the past myself. Perhaps you should put in some effort to research the subject. I have disabled it on many sites that I’ve built. I won’t lie to you, I’m not a fan of gravatar because the actual gravatars look cheap and tacky. This plugin is the most effective and easiest way of disabling […]

You can check them in bp-default theme. In particular use following tags inside the
<head>
tag of header.php in your theme
<title><?php bp_page_title() ?></title>
-…
