What theme are you using? Might help. Also, if you’re using Chrome, right click on the gray box and click on Inspect Element and copy the styles and post it here.

As to the issue, it’s possible that it could be resolved by simply tweaking styles in your theme’s style.css file. We need to see the site/webpage, site url?
