									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Is there a way to change the <a href="https://buddypress.org/members/name/" rel="nofollow ugc">@name</a> used in BuddyPress so that it doesn&#8217;t give away the username used by a user, or admin.</p>
<p>This is especially useful for the admin users, as I don&#8217;t want anybody to see the usernames used for the admin accounts for security.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve taken a look at those, and it seems that most of them are about changing the way it is shown, but I&#8217;m happy for the username to be shown, which is how it is done in the system (joej), but on the profile it is showing the display name (Joe Jenkins).</p>

This works by using &#8220;<a href="http://buddypress.org/community/members/name/" rel="nofollow ugc">@name</a>&#8221; in a activity update, this way the user that is mentioned gets notified and can react to it.</p>
