<p>I figured out that if you put the <a href="http://www.domain.com" rel="nofollow ugc">http://www.domain.com</a> works fine but if you just type domain.com it redirects to domain.com/register</p>

<p>Take a look at the Widget Logic plugin. Using conditional tags, widgets can be enabled/disabled on any page you choose. You might find some cues.<br />
