That’s strange. bp_get_member_user_id() will get you the member’s ID if it’s used within the loop. Your code looks sound to me so I’m puzzled as to why this isn’t working.

I’m guessing you’re trying to test it while you’re logged in as Admin? The privacy controls don’t apply to Admin. Admin can see everything. Log in as a regular user and then test.
