<p>I have a question and I can&#8217;t seem to find any docs about how to use it. There&#8217;s an action hook called &#8216;bp_custom_profile_edit_fields&#8217; but I have no idea how I can use it to add working fields to the edit form.</p>
<p>What I&#8217;m trying to do is add some custom fields for users based on whether or not they belong to a particular group.</p>

The notification still says &#8220;Friendship Requested&#8221; and the &#8220;Add Friend&#8221; button changes to say &#8220;Friendship Requested&#8221;. I can&#8217;t work out which step I&#8217;m missing as I still don&#8217;t [&#8230;]</p>
