I am hoping to start a social network that could potentially have enormous membership. Does it make sense to have WP or WPMU? Is there no difference as long as there is BP installed? If WPMU what are advantages?

Just want to make sure I set the foundation correctly now so I don’t have to tweak once I launch….

Do I need WordPress too? What file do I open to start a BuddyPress?
