@Travel-Junkie, in the past the plugin was open to WP cron. Only sites hanged because the import is a heavy process so the user that fired the cron had to wait for a minute or longer, they did not do that but just closed the browser and then the import was interrupted. Thats why we had […]

@Travel-Junkie I wouldn’t call it innovation. Using pages for such functionality is a hack. @MrMaz I like the idea of BuddyPress being split up, but not as a theme, I think it should remain a plugin, but just not so robust. The problem the WordPress community is making is trying to make it so that literally anybody […]

@Travel-Junkie deleting the pages isn’t a problem. Using pages in the first place is the problem. It’s just bad development!

@Travel-Junkie, @DavidRLabbe – thank you very much guys for your support! It’s working like a charm, but i got one tiny question.. why it’s so hard to get group information based on group id? Cause for members we got several functions with pretty easy instructions 🙂

@Travel-Junkie @nit3watch Did any official plugin ever come of this? If not, would you mind pasting the stable code? I think this would be very useful!

@travel-junkie i did some more examining and realized the double slash is because the “events” slug is missing from the link address for the subnav for the group. Another words
http://www.mysite.com/groups/groupA//calendar/
from the example above should have “events” between the double slashes likehttp://www.mysite.com/groups/groupA/events/calenda…

@travel-junkie Hi Travel-Junkie. I finally purchased the Buddyvents yesterday ,but has so many small issues with it that I wrote your company asking about a refund as I felt like it was to many issues for what I had paid for. However, after playing with it more and installing it on a live site vs. my local testing machine a few of the issues have…[Read more]

Hi @travel-junkie,
A group can be a winery, a winery can have many castle.
So, I need a tab that display all “castle” which have their own page. I think your plugin could be a solution to me.

@travel-junkie Hi matey
We have a user type in our profiles so a user can be a user, store, manufacturer etc
Would it be possible to embed your map and have it only display one user type?
-
Short answer is: kinda… Some functions would have to be rewritten. By removing certain hooks, then adding them back with modified functions and using the plugin templates it would be possible. To be honest, if a members overview map is all you need, then Mapology is probably a bit overkill for you.
-
Were hoping to use a lot of it’s functionality but we have over 6000 members and yours looks like a better bet for scaling up.
-
Well, then it makes sense. All of the modified functions can and should be kept outside of the Mapology folders, so upgrading won’t be an issue.

@travel-junkie I mean that if I click the Main Activity Tab it I go to the activity page with “no filter” as the default and a blank Within field. If I select Within: 750Km, it shows me all activity of members (and I assume groups) within 750km. Brilliant. But, if I try and filter further and […]

@travel-junkie Mapology is looking stellar! Just checked out the group overlay and wow, way to go! To fill folks in, if a group has many maps/routes, the overlay shows all the relevant routes on a single map to easily see all routes in relation to each other. Brilliant!

I tries to echo $bp->buddyvents->slug and nothing….no value. I checked the backend in the dashboard setting and it is set for “events” but it is not setting the slug.
I just did a search a have seen where you added a update for this issue in 1.2.1, but i have version 1.2.4.
