Have you have assigned the Register and Activate pages in Settings > BuddyPress > Pages? Have you tried changing your theme to 2014 or 2015 to check if it’s a theme issue or not?

“Register” page which has a paragraph of copy on it.

@wanderingsoles Remove the paragraph of copy you added to it.
