Are you using the new Nouveau template pack that came with Buddypress 3.0?
In reply to: User Profile FieldsSorry, what is the problem?
Yep, it’s not a core BuddyPress problem. We can’t support other plugins, sorry.
In reply to: bp-nouveau vs bp-legacyI am pretty sure themes will choose to use one template pack or another. It will be almost impossible to support multiple template packs.
In reply to: add user to group when user is added via dashboard@anrahulpandey Check the function declaration for
groups_join_group()
inside BuddyPress’ files!function groups_join_group( $group_id, $user_id = 0 )
I think you are specifying the user_id and group_id parameters in the wrong order. 🙂

In reply to: No more Forums tab inside the group since 3.0We don’t have enough information to figure out what the cause might be yet, I think we will need to try to reproduce the problem, but it doesn’t seem to be unique to your site, so I’ve created a bug report at https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/7844 — please keep an eye on that for updates.

@andreia22 What URL are you visiting to trigger these errors, please?
In reply to: Sorting my custom members-loop-2 loses the filteringBecause the sort options trigger an AJAX request which reloads the directory content. This is not the same data that’s in your custom
members-loop
template. In reply to: BuddyPress 3.0, no new users since…Are you using WordPress with multisite enabled, or not?

Were you using the new Nouveau template pack when you had this problem?
In reply to: Buddypress user and group home set upHi
I assume you’re using the new Nouveau template pack? Have you tried looking in the WordPress Customizer for the options?
This would have been better posted on the wordpress.org forum for that specific plugin next time, please.

Keep an eye on that, and sorry for the inconvenience in the meanwhile.
In reply to: No more Forums tab inside the group since 3.0That code controls a setting. It has nothing to do with the actual navigation bar. I am confused as to what exactly you are reporting is wrong.
If you can find if this is actually happening and how to recreate it step-by-step, we’re of course more than happy to fix it.
In reply to: post via email?BuddyPress does not offer reply to comments by email.
In reply to: Visual Composer in BuddyPress / BBpressSomeone would need to debug the two plugins and understand where the incompatibility lies.
In reply to: Fatal Error of buddypress after updating wordpressYes, do not ever edit another plugin’s or theme’s files. This’ll happen, you’ll loose the changes when they get updated, and you’ll have to move them out into separate plugins etc.
In reply to: BP vs WP user rolesBuddyPress does not use WordPress user roles or capabilities. Technically, there is a
bp_moderate
capability, but we map that to roles that havemanage_options
capability (by default), or Network Admins, in multisite.Even so, some parts, including the Profile Fields admin screen in wp-admin, require the
manage_options
capability.So, basically, add the
bp_moderate
capability to all your custom roles, and if that doesn’t work, they’ll need themanage_options
role — which, warning, gives them a lot of WordPress admin power as well.No ways around this at the moment.
In reply to: BuddyPress not sending confirmation emailsBuddyPress 2.9.4 include a tweak for emails that might have been causing this.
Apart from that, to our best of knowledge, everything related to emails is working. In reply to: Members Not ShowingEach user needs to log-in at least once for them to show up in the Members Directory.
