I do not see an opportunity to “re-run the forum setup in wp-admin” nor a place to “pick existing install.” If I activate bbPress Forums my site crashes and I get this error “Fatal error: Class ‘BB_Query’ not found in /home/lockednd/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-forums.php on line 354”

NEVERMIND! hahaha I followed your guidance, held my breath while I let the site be crashed for a bit, clicked “Forum Setup” and selected “existing install.” and everything came back to normal.
