[Resolved] 404 page child theme of bp default

Have copied the 404.php template to child theme (of bp default) folder.

Intended customising it a bit.

but

have noticed that the 404 page delivered to the user is from the bp default theme folder and not the child theme folder.

How can i remedy this ? please!

Try to turn off child theme and the default theme, then activate the child theme back

Yes, thank you. i think that could be a solution though i have complicated matters with plugins restricting access to certain pages and i now believe that those plugins were a factor in the original problem.
