BuddyPress.org

Right ok so Im new to buddypress but I know wordpress and php well enough to edit existing files etc.

What im wanting to do is add a section to the profile subnav. I want member to be able to upload albums of images. I dont want to use plugins that are available as they dont do what i need them to do. but i do need to be able to view these albums/images on their profile.

All I need to know for now is how to add the sub sections under profile section. I have seen many similar topics but non that actually work or do what i need.
