Assigning user roles to Members! Cant Find it :(

  • Last time I was into Buddypress, I could set the user roles to Admins, Mods etc etc etc!

But, now, I cant find a way to do that!

Wordpress just shows the default user groups! (Admins,Subscribers etc!)

Anyone can put some light onto this?

    Any plugins or so?

So, Where can I find that dropdown, which I once saw, and that cant see now!

Are you talking about groups in Buddypress? I can’t remember a bp-version where you were able to set user roles. Do you need a function to select different usertypes? If yes, there’s a solution – needs a few hacks in your template and also in buddypress core – but a needful tool.

Set up a wordpress-multisite installation, then hack the files. If you need help, just tell me.

Go to super admin, click on user, then go the the user you want to edit and click edit for the appropriate blog that you want to change the user’s role on, it then takes you to the site management where you can change the role of that one user or other users under that blog. There is also a plugin called multisite user management which give even more control among blogs.
