buddypress hook?

  • brandonw91

    I’ve been using welcome pack for a while now and love all of its functionality. I have one question though. I recently decided to use Gravity Form’s (another plugin) registration add-on. As far as I know, this plugin hooks into the websites buddypress and adds the user that way. Basically, it is a way of greatly customizing the information that you obtain during registration. However, when a user registers using the new way, welcome pack isn’t seeing them, and an email never gets sent. Is there some sort of hook or something that welcome pack needs to see in order to send the email? I’m thinking that adding that hook to the other plugin may be easier that trying to customize this one. I really appreciate your input and advice!

    Do you have any ideas? I’d really like new users to continue reciecing welcome emails and friend requests.

    I’ve not looked at Gravity Forms in this detail, but the hook Welcome Pack uses is:

    add_action( ‘xxxxxx’, ‘dpw_on_user_registration’ );

    You could add that somewhere, just find out the action name and replace the ‘xxxxxx’. Note: the action will need to have the first argument as $user_id
