Change Group Settings and Roles

Hi there,
I want to ask you if is possible to change Group Settings and Roles (http://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/group-settings-and-roles/) .

What I want is the possibility to have in Privacy Options only 2 choice … “Private group” and “Hidden group” … but what I want also is that on the “Private Group” …Group content and activity can be visible to any site member …now is not possible because they are visible only to members of the group….
This is because I want that user ask for membership to join group everytime….but in the same time I want that user are able to see the content of the groups to have the possibility to choose the right group…
Someone can help me ????

Hmm not sure ‘out of the box’ BuddyPress can do this you may want to look at one of the membership plugin options out there. Most of those are paid though but perhaps a good start would be to look at a few of those. Alternatively someone else may have an idea of how that can be achieved without a plugin.
