Display latest posts from other database

I currently have a wordpress+buddypress installation with some blogposts, static pages, and buddypress groups with some posts in their forum. I would like to strip down this install to a plain wordpress-installation with only static pages and some blog entries, and move the whole buddypress-part to a subdirectory called “community”.

I assume I would have to move it pretty much manual (it’s not the biggest site anyways) and I would like two separate databases for them, and two different installs.

I don’t need the members to be synced, and the only needed functionality for the blog would be to display certain buddypress related info from the installation on the subdomain. Only the public available info of course, like recent posts and recent members.
How do I do this? I’ve googled my fingers sore
