[resolved] Not all BuddyPress Profiles work

I’ve setup a new WordPress site, installed BuddyPress, and imported nearly 1,000 users. I’ve gotten them to show up in the Members list by adding a last_activity record to the usermeta table for each of them. Unfortunately, the profile page for most of them doen’t work. Clicking on their name just brings me back to the Members page.

For the users that have actually logged in and updated their profile, those all work. It’s the users that haven’t yet logged in that are the problem.

Exactly which fields in the database need to be set to make this work?

    Thanks!

Yes, users need to be activated. Normally non activated accounts do mot show in members list. You can force activate all by editing database

Thanks for the response modemlooper. Alas, this did not work.

The download on the page you provided does not work. The comments below the post offer up another link however, and the plugin at that link was available. When I run it, it says there are 0 users who have not activated their accounts.

Can you (or anyone else), give me some specifics about what needs to be done to activate the accounts? What specific tables, rows and data need to be present for the BuddyPress system to recognize them as “active”?

    Thanks!

In db wp_users find user_status this should be 0

Bingo — I found it. In my case, it was the user_nicename field. It was blank (thanks to the import). Once I added that value to each user, I could start seeing their profile in BuddyPress.

    Thanks for the help!
