Posts with Password privacy

    Ok. I need to figure out a way for profiles to create private posts with password logins. I.E. I need a production company to be able to show or be able to post when a Gig going on. Call Time. Location. Etc… but they need a level of privacy for obvious reasons. Any suggestions?

    Could I maybe constrain the posts to say groups? Meaning let a group or profile be the actual show and only allow profiles that’s become part of that group to see?

    When you create the group, it can be a private group. Try creating a test group that’s private and play with it. Create a test user and try it out.

    I would explore plug-ins to see if there may be a fix there for you. I’ve never tried to have this level of specific customization, usually plug-ins are the answer.

    Some of this may be theme specific.

    i think you could just make a password protected post then put the password inside a hidden group assuming you can put the actual content inside the hidden group.

    For an alternative idea, you could create a shortcode that shows the contents within it to members of a group or a site role or just certain users (if the targeted members dont change often) by using conditionals and targeting the ids of the members.

    sorry when i said can right there i should have said can’t sorry i’m a bit terrible at typing. so the whole thing should have read:
