Remove inappropriate warning messages in admin in 1.5

    @rogercoathup

    I use activity items / loops, but I don’t want a dedicated page showing site wide activity.

    In 1.5 though, if I remove / don’t set the ‘activity’ page, I get ‘plagued’ by a warning message in admin:

    The following active BuddyPress Components do not have associated WordPress Pages: Activity Streams. [Repair]

    Is there a hook / filter to remove this warning?

    Also, the terminology is not really appropriate – there’s nothing to ‘repair’ – I want the component, I don’t want the page

    If you don’t have a page associated with the Activity component, I don’t think activity permalinks will work (though that needs checking).

    At the moment, there is no simple way to remove the message. (Though you could remove it from the $bp global at admin_init if it bothered you that much.) It’s a good idea for an enhancement ticket, though http://trac.buddypress.org

    @boonebgorges – the sites go out to clients, so it’s not good to have warning messages littering wp-admin

    I agree. That’s why I said it was a good idea for an enhancement ticket. :)
