Are there any plans to make the Group Send Invites screen work with followers? Currently the send invites screen only appears when the Friends component is enabled.
This also prevents the Invite Anyone plugin from working when using Followers instead of Friends.
Looking into it more, it seems like Invite Anyone will work if only ‘send-invites’ was added to the submenu – the bp_core_new_subnav_item() that adds it to the submenu is only called when Friends is enabled: https://trac.buddypress.org/browser/tags/220.127.116.11/bp-groups.php#L213
It is a bit more work to get Send Invites to work without the Invite Anyone plugin because bp_new_group_invite_friend_list() bails out if Friends is disabled.

can this be fixed ?
yeah, “Invite Anyone Plugin” does not work with the “BP Followers Plugin”:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function friends_add_friend() in /www/htdocs/w0815b545/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/invite-anyone/by-email/by-email.php on line 207

can anyone shed some light on why groups may be duplicating when invites are sent at the last stage of a group creation?
