Shall I upgrade the wordpress mu installation to 2.7.1?

    I’m currently running WPMU 2.7 with Buddypress RC1. The upgrade link on the top of my installation is bit irresistible.

    Shall I go ahead and hit the upgrade link? Or wait …

    Wait for BP RC2 to come out this evening. Then do that

    Hi, Paul, would there be a patch to upgrade to BP RC2,

    or would it require a straight fresh install?

    Hmm files have been both added and removed. Whilst you could just upload/overwrite, that wouldn’t remove the files that have been removed. You’d have to check very very carefully.

    Ergo I suggest you delete all your existing files but keep the database. Upload the new files, then visit the admin pages and it should update the database.

    Anyway, updating to wpmu 2.7.1 first is ever better :)
