some strings not translated

    @lorentzenfilm

    I have translated most of the strings to danish (da_DK)

    But strangely a few strings does not show up translated on my page, even though I have found and translated the strings in the .po and -mo files. All other strings work perfectly.

    It is the strings “All groups” and “My groups” – and the two strings “About me” and “Account settings”.

    You can see it here: http://lystfiskersiden.dk/grupper/

    What do I do?

    Weird ! Guess there was some bug in dk translation due to special chars or something like this. Seems that you’re not the only one having trouble with WP and BP. You can digg for i18n or translation tickets on WP’s Trac

    On BP’s codex is a dk page, but no is no more maintained since 2012. Doesn’t mean you can’t try to get in touch with the page author.

    On translate.wordpress.org, the official BP translation may be complete, but strings are awaiting for validation since weeks… Weird for danish BP users who can’t benefit of this automated translation service ! More anoying also, the danish translation has no project editor assigned.
    but you can offer yourself as a volunteer for this position if you’re interested to contribute.

    Read the sticky post about translation for details.

    Get some generalities about danish translation on the Polyglots Blog.

    If you need more information, get in touch with one of Polyglot Mentors (list is on the Polyglot’s blog sidebar).

    @peterrosbjergdk if you have “the same issue”, you have already some instructions in this topic to get rid of it.

    @cusumano,

    what is not translated ? Are you sure you have the same issue as the danish user ? Are you sure it is a BuddyPress issue ?

    So far i see on GlotPress, the italian version is translated to 99% and has only a few strings which which remain in english. These strings are all on the plugin’s About page. Front-end users are not affected by this.

    Check your theme translation and eventually all your plugins if you see english strings on front-end.

    If you can login here beta.pmdexperience.it

    you will see that strings: All Groups (n), My Groups (n) are not translated (even if they are really in the po file) but Create a Group results translated well in “Crea un gruppo”.

    I Have the latest buddypress installed.
