Time for a new version! Future requests and bugs

  • Sven Lehnert

In the next weaks, we will start building a new improved version of “Seo for Buddypress”.
The new version will come with a new UI based on the wordpress UI. The functionality will be improved, and all reported bugs fixed.

We will use the time now, to get your future requests, bugs, and thinks you like to be added into the plugin.

Let us know everything you think is missing or should be done in a different way.
Then we will develop the new version with all the things in mind you posted hire.

    Thanks all

Woooohooooo! Fantastic. Thought we’d lost you Sven. Hope you had a great holiday and are feeling refreshed and ready for whatever comes. I think there are some big changes coming with WP/BB/BP and you da man!

Any chance we could get a feature similar to the one on “All in One SEO Pack” that allows you to input a menu label for pages. Sometimes I have a long page title and using the All in One SEO to shorten it for my page navigation bar has been essential. Thanks

I think it would be great if there is an option to activate only on specific component of buddypress.

Like if a admin wants seo for buddypress only to be activated on groups and forums then he should be able to deselect other partrs like home and network blogs.

Also if there is more options available like Canonical URLS and noindex tag then it will be a ideal seo plugin and there wont be any necessary to use all in one seo plugin.

    Thank you!

Feature request: A noindex option for tags would be nice.

Hi, sorry for the delay, I will work at the new version from now..

@GUAP menu label for pages? Do you mean the page title? I will add an option to set the max length for titles.
@Avnech The plugin offers you seo for the components you activated. If you don’t have for example network blogs active, there won’t be a option for network blogs. Same with all other component’s.
@B03S @Avnech Canonical URLS and noindex tag will be included. I have it on my list for this update.

@Avnech, I have added noindex to the plugin.

Please could you tell me in which case WordPress Canonical URL’S are needed.
I couldn’t find a place where duplicated URL are possible in WordPress. So for me it looks like WordPress is from nature Canonical URLS save.
