Using, only, your group e-mail subscription option with Pagelines

The only option from BuddyPress that I want, for now, is the group e-mail subscription. I have Pagelines pro as my theme, and maybe they just aren’t compatible, but I really hope you can tell me otherwise. My site is not posted yet but will be in a few weeks time. I love your personalized subscription options for my followers, but I just can’t get anything to work. All I want is 1 link for the subscription page, to sign up, subscribe, unsubscribe, choose categories to follow… please help me with a 1, 2, 3 step to creating this link and set-up for my site.
