Validate user without email, is there a way? [SOLVED]

Hello, I’ve got a great running copy of buddypress running and I LOVE it! however it’s running in a lan and I’d like to manually approve members (the long way I know) but I’d also like to let them sign up without needing to leave an email address, and obviously I don’t send out any emails anyways, so is there an easy way to do this?

In other words I have no email server running, nor do I want to send out an activation email, and I also don’t want to have the email box be required upon signing up.

    Is this even possible?

Also how do I go about activating a member who’s signed up with an invalid email as that’s what’s currently happening, but it doesn’t seem like they are able to login even after I change the default upon signing up “inactive” mode to “member”
