WYSIWYG Editor Disappeared

  • Hi

I have been using this plugin for a while and it has been great. However, I have recently found that when I try to edit wiki pages they open in a very small box and only show the HTML, with no WYSIWYG editor. This makes it very difficult to use, and impossible for someone without knowledge of HTML.

I have also found that some of my wiki pages have lost their “edit” option – so I have had to copy the content, delete the page and create a new one. This leaves a gap in the group wiki home page.

Any clues what might have caused this and whether there is anything I can do to get the plugin working properly again, as it has been fantastically useful prior to this.

    Many thanks!

Probably another plugin interfering. Please test disabling other plugins. Once you find the culprit, let me know and I’ll fix bp-wiki to work correctly with it.

Interestingly, I came across two things:

    1) BM Custom Login

When I deactivated this, the WYSIWYG menu came back, but did not include all of the buttons previously available. I took a screenshot if that is of any use to you? When I reactivated the plugin, the menu remained (i.e. it did not revert back to HTML view only).

    2) Buddypress Chat Component

Deactivating this plugin completely restored the WYSIWYG features and it is now working fine, so this one probably caused the problem. I am not over fond of this plugin for a number of reasons, but my community have asked for a live chat function and this was all I could find. I will leave it disabled for now, but if you are able to fix bp-wiki to work with it correctly that would be fab!

    Many thanks for your help!
