xProfile visibility and Members directory search ?

    Hi,

    I’m currently working on my bowe codes plugin to integrate profile visibility consideration. As i’m not sure it’s a “bug”, i prefer to post this question here instead of the BuddyPress trac system.

    This is the test i made on my local dev :

    • as a user, i set a profile visibility to logged in user only.
    • Then i log off and do a member search on that profile field value, and the user is displayed in the list…

    I wonder if the user should show in this case, what do you think ?

    Yes, I have this problem also, members visibility set as friends only, search result still list them out with the right keyword.

    I’m definitely sure, that fields visibility should be taken into consideration.
    So in your case – user should NOT be visible in a search results by logged out user.
