Yes, that is correct. When you install the RELEASE version of BP-Media 0.1.9 on your system, it will recognize your 0.1.8 install and upgrade it for you. It is also *technically* possible to have BP-Album 0.1.8 and BP-Media 0.1.9 running together on the same system, but we’re not *quite* done this functionality yet.

It’s not that we’re ignoring your request, it’s that the current beta we’re discussing in the thread *already does* what you are requesting… 😉

@bplove I’m doing localhost dev work, with a closed beta for my community members to play around with before (and if) we move to BP, so it’s kind of private at the moment. Send me a PM if you’d like to check out the work in progress privately.

@bplove Basically, use version 0.1.7 from the WordPress plugin repo. It works properly, is reasonably reliable, and it will update properly at the next release. Do not use the 0.1.8 beta, because it doesn’t use the new file storage scheme and we’re not writing an updater for 0.1.8 because you’re not supposed to be using it […]

At the moment, the way things are named is awfully counterintuitive, I think, and a thread I started many months back about rethinking it didn’t get any traction, […]
