<p>I&#8217;m not sure if it&#8217;s any help but the only clue I have is the error report pasted in the 3rd post. Whatever line of code was attempting to create the bb_posts table was conflicting or producing an error with my version of MySQL.</p>

<p>The solution was to download and install 1.2.7 (archived versions of buddypress are available online). 1.2.7 has no such issues. </p>
