That warning comes from the BP Profile Search plugin. I think I fixed the issue, please try downloading a fresh copy of BP Profile Search. Can you confirm that the warnings are gone?

The template for the search form is in the plugin file bps.searchform.php, and you can change it there. I can’t offer more help because I’m not an HTML or CSS expert, but I hope I’ll be able to write a simpler ‘template system’, sooner or later!

But… the Age Range feature is not working yet, because in BuddyPress 1.5 the datebox field values are stored as a date string, not as a timestamp.

I’m working to a ‘template’ system for this plugin, but it’s not ready yet. The present version is using the styles from the default BuddyPress theme, so you can modify or add CSS rules to your theme style.css file.

If you update WordPress to 3.1 and Buddypress to 1.2.8 and use multi_site this will no longer work because Buddypress uses 3.1’s new network_admin dashboard. A quick change to line 30 of bps-main.php will fix this problem.
Find the following line:

1) A workaround for a strange bug, where in a few installations WordPress was unable to activate the plugin if its main file was named ps-main.php. So I had to change the file name, which is now bps-main.php.

1) In the plugin admin page you can specify the search mode to be used for text fields. Specifically you can choose between:
— partial match, where a search for John matches field values of John, Johnson, Long John Silver, and so on;

Unfortunately that’s the “rename directory” bug again! Please rename the plugin folder as suggested in the readme file.

If you have a birth date field in your extended profiles, you can now search by age range. Your visitors can specify a minimum and maximum age for their search, and they’ll get back the list of members whose age falls between the specified limits.
