Hi truelux,
The template for the search form is in the plugin file bps.searchform.php, and you can change it there. I can’t offer more help because I’m not an HTML or CSS expert, but I hope I’ll be able to write a simpler ’template system’, sooner or later!

As you know, I’ve recently released BP Profile Search version 2.6 and then version 2.7 to address the compatibility issues with BuddyPress 1.5.
But… the Age Range feature is not working yet, because in BuddyPress 1.5 the datebox field values are stored as a date string, not as a timestamp.
I haven’t found a way to fix this yet, and I’ll welcome…[Read more]

BP Profile Search 2.7 is now available, with a fix to be correctly ’Network Activated’ in BP 1.5 multisite. Version 2.7 requires at least BP 1.2.8, so don’t update if you have BP 1.2.7 or older.

It’s fixed in BP Profile Search version 2.7. Thanks for your feedback!

Try changing the Filtered Members List value in the Advanced Options tab until you find the value that works for you.

Hi James,
1) You could change the form styles in your theme’s stylesheet;
2) Does the search work with the default theme?
Please let me know.

Do you mean that the page reloads but your search always returns the full members list? If so, try changing the Filtered Members List value in the Advanced Options tab until you find the value that works for you.

Sorry for not being more specific. What I enter in a SEARCH term and hit submit, it does nothing. See: http://communindiefilms.com/members/
I am 100% sure it is something I have done wrong, I just do not know what to do to fix it.
-
Here is an example: http://communindiefilms.com/members/
If you select Stunt Person and choose SEARCH, it should bring back a result of member ed – The page flashes for a second but that’s it.Am I explaining this correctly?

I just deactivate all plugins except buddypress and bp profile search and it still did not work.

Good morning. I only have 4 members so it was pretty easy to go thru each filter. However that did not change anything. Thoughts?

Try deleting and reloading the plugin, bps-searchform.php has only 162 lines so I think it’s corrupted. You could also look into the file to make sure it’s 162 lines long with no garbage appended.

You can find the ’Filtered Members List’ option in the plugin admin panel, under the ’Advanced Options’ tab. Tabs are right under the page title ’Profile Search Setup’.

Hello Siddharth,
Please make sure you activate the plugin in the standard way, do not ’Network Activate’ it.

Hi Gayatriom,
I’m working to a ’template’ system for this plugin, but it’s not ready yet. The present version is using the styles from the default BuddyPress theme, so you can modify or add CSS rules to your theme style.css file.

Hello Andy,
I noticed you were the first to join my new plugin group (BP Profile Search), and you are also listed as a contributor. Could you please look into what I think is a BuddyPress or WordPress bug? The details are in the plugin discussion. Thank you! View
