WordPress allows underscores to be used, but BuddyPress does not. I deactivated BuddyPress and was able to register with an &#8216;_&#8217; underscore in my username. I am working on a hack for this as we speak.</p>

Ok . . . . .  I have just done a fresh install of WP and BP in a sub domain and not in a separate folder as it was before. So the address is now &#8216;cyc.manorway.org.uk&#8217;  All the HTTPS&#8217;s have gone (there were a lot of them looking at the browser source code!).<br />
