<p>After activating multisite I installed and network activated BuddyPress. I also added this line to wp-config.php: <code>define ( &#039;BP_ROOT_BLOG&#039;, 2 );</code> where 2 is ID of your communitycommunity.mysite.com</p>
<p>That way BP is accessible from an entire network, but profiles are handled only from the network site.</p>

I&#8217;m having no problems cropping or updating my avatar (Win 7, Chrome 11.0.696.68/IE8/FF4.0.1), but folks with OSX (they&#8217;ve tried it with FF, Chrome, and Safari) can&#8217;t.  From what I know of js, this shouldn&#8217;t be an issue.  Any insights?</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>To achieve the above situation you can just add a blank role which cannot be selected. This can be done by hacking into the plugin. But since choosing a default role is an essential requirement for the WordPress core it is advisable that you do provide a default role.</p>
