The system implemented with BP is similar to how Twitter works. User&#8217;s communicate through @ mentions or simply commenting on another user&#8217;s status.</p>

<p>Go into Buddymatic theme header.php file and make sure that its not calling a different version of jquery. </p>
<p>Make sure you are running jquery 1.4.2.</p>
