Timezone problem (3 posts)

    I got this timezone confusion on setup BP, my server is in UTC-5, and I’m in UTC+8, after I set the timezone from UTC-5 to UTC+8, the new registered user is now displayed as “registered 1 year, 12 month ago”, and the blog post which post date was set according my local time is now under status of schedule, “13 hours from now on”, is this a bug or something? How could I fix this? Thanks in advance.

    Nobody in their right minds is going to touch this post andrepan. Try going to wordpress or wpmu’s forums and searching for ‘timezone’, ‘gmt’. You’ll see the insanity. We’ve got server time, blog time for each blog and the user’s time. Did I mention daylight savings time?

    the ”registered” bug it is not eternal..i don’t remember well, but after one day since registration the date should be automatically corrected, it is such a magical thing.

    For the scheduled posts, yes it’s a pain. They don’t appear in the site activity too: it only takes the manually published ones.
